How about sharing some pics of your beloved black rifle(s)? Come on... you know you want to. I'll be posting some when I get home this afternoon.

My wife is out of town and she took the digi cam with her.  When she gets back, I'll post up some pics.

Nframe and Pyro...sweet pics, I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them up either then or Tuesday!  Oh and Nframe...are those Magpul magazines?  If so, they are the cat's ass aren't they?

Picked up a couple a while back.  After testing them out, I'm going to buy ALL Magpul's now.  Gotta love how tough they are.

Sweet LR-308 you got Foxtrot!  How's your bipod working out for you?  I'm thinking of a similar setup on my AR10.

Not a fan of the bipod actually, going to switch back to a Harris soon. Was trying out a Versa pod, not a fan now - can't seem to get any stability at all, which does make some sense as the whole detachable concept takes the firmness out of the mount. Not really a fan of the length either, seems to be in that grey area where it's not comfortable to use it in any position. One heck of an accurate rifle tho. Easy to get 1/2 moa with vmax's without any serious effort, it's definitely capable of 1/4" if I do my part (and don't feed from the magazine)

Recoil,

yeah man they are p-mags!   I love 'em.  (Not that I have much experience with others)   I keep meaning to get out and shoot some more but I get busy with the kids.  I can't wait till they can shoot with me!

That is beautiful Fox. I recently acquired a Foulton Armory Lower because those are one of two legal .308 lowers in California.  But hey... isn't this the 15 forum?

That Versa looks way to long unless your in a sitting postion. Wanna sell it? Or am I in the wrong forum to even ask?

Hey Recoil... still waiting!

Foxtrot,

Thanks for the words of wisdom on your mount...I'll definitely take your word for it and stick to Harris' bipods!  I have 2 Harris models.  They are hard to beat...especially for under a "C" note.  Mine are both bench models, 6-9", with the self leveler.  Thanks for the heads up...

NFrame,

Yeah, those Magpuls are sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!  I picked up my first one back about 6 months ago.  It wasn't until after using it once that I bought 4 more.  Going to stock up on them...especially the 30 cap. mags.  I can't say enough about them...got all my buddies hooked.  Found them online for 14.95 each, with shipping, they came out to about 15.75 each.  Not bad for something so awesome.  If anyone knows where they are cheaper, hit me with the link, I'm in the market for some more for my armegeddon box.

IP,

As requested!

Left to Right in the pics:

-Colt A2 model.  I LOVE iron sights.

-Colt LE model 6920.  It's got the new (just released to civilians anyhow) TA31RCO-M4CP: 4x32 Trijicon ACOG on it.  Also, compliments of the NonConformist on this site, I bought his MAMBA sling.  It's awesome.

-Armalite AR10, 7.62mm.  It's got a Leupold VX-1 (3-9x50mm) on it.  Pretty good shooter with the right ammo (the expensive stuff) :(

-Remington M700 SS 5R Milspec.  It's a tack driver.  I shot this past weekend from a bench, 100 yds.  My best group was 1/5th inch  pure luck and probably won't happen again for a while.  I mostly shot 1/4 and 3/8th inch groups using 2 boxes of Federal Gold Medal/Sierra Matchking 175gr HPBT ammo.  It's got a Leupold Mk-4 LR/T with TMR reticle, 4.5-14X50, 30mm tube, Mk4 rings and base, and the trigger has been worked to produce a glass breaking 3.5lb pull. The stock is an H&S Precision PST25, Harris bipod 6-9" extension, with self leveler (swivels on axis).  As I have stated many times on this site, this weapon is capable of shooting far better than me!

ps.  All 3 of the AR's have CAA cheek rests attached to their stocks.

RTF,

Nice collection!  By the way, what kind of scope is that on the Bushy with the tan furniture?  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Recoil, that's Tirjicons Compact ACOG, TA-33 with Amber Reticle, have two of those,

Also have a Trijicon AccuPoint TR20-2  3-9x40  w/ LaRue mount.

Thanks, Im glad you enjoyed the pics., your rifles are very cool as well, that's the nice thing about AR's, its always fun to see how somebody else did thiers!

RTF,

I thought that was an ACOG, but wasn't positive.  Bushnell and a few others are making knock-offs of the ACOG and they look really similar from a distance (as in a pic).

LaRue makes some nice accessories.  Awesome setups.

My AR's are pretty "stock" right now.  I wouldn't mind changing my handguards out with some that have rails.  I've been looking around, just haven't pulled the trigger yet (pun intended).  Hell, I still have to buy another ACOG for my AR10, I'm trying to figure out how to do it without my wife finding out.  I guess after that, I'll start accessorizing...maybe adding a harris bipod to my Colt LE.

It's endless.  Shooting is an expensive hobby these days and I'm afraid it will only get worse.

Hey drifty, in the pic it looks like you and your neighbors have a range set up in the back yard LOL.  Nice straight border fence...maybe there's an idea for ya.

Nice AR

Hey what upper is that you have? I think that's the one (or one like it )I want for my build. You carry handle is "attached" by a accessories rail right?
